Designing the future of athletic training
Athletigen is a company on a mission to advance genetic analysis for sports performance. I spent over a year studying training environments for elite athletes and professional sports teams while leading experience design and creative direction for their yet to be released mobile-focused products.
A significant portion of my work with Athletigen was about helping the company install effective product and creative development processes—or developing a framework for designing products. So a good amount of time was spent on research, strategy, and deliverable definition.
Prototypes were an essential element of my approach to work for this client and were given more priority over static documentation or artifacts when possible. The feedback you get from reviewing prototypes that move, work, and feel like interactive products is more useful.
The standard style of XD documentation was used to prepare for production work. And these documents were a bit more interactive than usual, with video embeds and interactive prototypes to help describe features.
